My Coke Rewards is a long-running loyalty program which lets consumers earn points with their favorite brands. To address the issue of poor engagement the platform was in need of fresh strategy, design and a relaunch.

idea

Coca-Cola's existing platform lacked engaging ways to connect consumers with the brand due to poor, often confusing design. The platform was not used to its full potential. To address these shortcomings we first developed an entirely new brand guide. With a cleaner and fully responsive look, the beautifully designed rewards platform became more attractive and engaging than ever.

The second part of the strategy was to add a wider variety of ways for the customer to engage with the brand. This included not only fun games and stronger social media features but also an evolved, tailored rewards system. By introducing a status-based platform, reward possibilities expanded to include unique lifestyle, experiential and charitable ways of getting rewarded.

These sweeping changes drove what was a lackluster platform in a new direction, capable of reaching a dramatically wider audience. By adding a tiered status system and leveraging social media interaction, My Coke Rewards became a model for customer loyalty programs.
